A new home!
So we are officially moved into our new place! Just not unpacked...
The pups have been handling the move well. Sunshine's anxiety has appeared to be copable, but she developed a new weird thing
Sleep licking! A few nights ago she was sleep licking and twitching her legs all at the same time. Licking the bunny she was tasting??
The yard has a low spot and within 24 hours the girls had churned it into a mud pit fit for an elephant! We made an emergency run out to Lowes to buy some outdoor carpeting. I cried Uncle quickly with the light colored carpet and tile kitchen floor.
We could use another section to cover the last of the squishy part but I'm hoping it will hang in there for now. So far it's working beautifully!
We are really working with limited space here. The Apt had more square footage it seems. Or maybe just a more open floor plan... There is no room for both futon mattresses to be dog beds. Rainy really didn't mind having the quadrupled up mattress for her bed at night. You can see the 2 folded futons behind the blue couch tucked into a corner. With a black quilt on top of them.
Frizzle found the ghetto temp water bucket quickly.
Gary putting together the bed while Rainy supervises from the couch
Rainy loves this double bed concept. She's going to be sad when the dog beds get put back in the van.
Pic of the messy disorganized kitchen
The SCARY stairs! Sunshine clamors up like an elephant/mountain goat. Rainy still sometimes need encouragement. I think she just likes to be told that she can do it.
Frizzle is enjoying the stairs
Look at those pretty eyes....
Messy dinning room. We got that table at the auction Friday night for $30! We need to get the chairs reupholstered.
Pic of our bedroom Not much walking space between the couch and bed!
The living room/front door
Cute little sink in the downstairs bathroom
downstairs bathroom and that is still is the BEST litter box ever. :)
Other side of the kitchen with my freezers/dog fridge/cat feeding station
Upstairs bathroom. Gary is actually putting in a curved shower curtain as I type. That shower is HUGE! Lots of elbow room
Pic of the living room <3 that fireplace. We haven't tried it out yet
Sunshine cheesing on the messy bed.
Gary's son's room
This room we are going to turn into an office
The best part is that the flood light covers the whole yard! I was able to play with the pups and a few tennis balls for 20 minutes tonight. I have exhausted puppies!
Since I can't come home on lunch any more there was some worry about the girls needing to potty... They went 9 hours today and were fine. Most days will be like that but the next two weeks Gary is working OT and they are going to have to do 10-11 hours. *fingers crossed* That's one of the sacrifices we had to make to get into a nicer place. Overall the dogs seem very relaxed about being left alone. Usually they are clingy for the first few weeks in a new place.

Gary's clothes have already been exiled to the 'office.' My clothes don't even all fit in the master bedroom!

We have a yard!
So the girls have been pretty calm about my packing fluffy until Friday night. Rainy got mopey and clingy while Sunshine lost all her braveness around the Apt. She did pretty well at the M & G though...
I needed to fix a hole in the fence, take out a few nails that could rip them open, install a lock in the gate, etc. So I did all of that Saturday during the daylight and today we brought them over to the house for the first time.
Sunshine shook and shivered (I was the bad Mommy who packed her Xanax early) Rainy took it all in stride like she always does. They explored the house...
Rainy found the backyard right away!
Sunshine was curious
They both stood in a very nice "Wait" and then did this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7YNpt1_6zY
Some pics after the video ended
Rainy gasping for water afterwards
Both of them made it up the stairs with no issues
Sunshine says "Wait... I never signed on for a scary ceiling fan..."
They won't let me leave the room so I'll just try to go to a happy place....
Rainy says "Hey! Don't turn that off! It felt good"
As we started unpacking the boxes Rainy quickly settled in for a nap
Sunshine was a twitchy little squirrel running up and down the stairs making sure she didn't miss anything.
3 hours later she finally found some of her dog blankets and crashed
While Rainy woke up and practice her sexy pose

Sunshine naughtiness and a Dewey pic
Sunshine has some talent! We left her alone, with her muzzle on and she somehow still made this mess..
She looks so cute an innocent
Here is my fav pic from Dewey this year
Christmas Card Attempt
So taking Christmas card pictures.... not the easiest!
Rainy is less than thrilled while Sunshine is hamming it up
Wait, what was that noise?
Sunshine says "Wait, that was a scary noise!"
Sunshine "Ok I'm ready again, Mom"
Rainy "Are there squirrels back there?"
Sunshine "Mom, I can't hold still much longer"
Birds! Squirrels!
Getting soooooo sleeeepy....
Mom, when can we get this supper thing started? Your late!
Maybe I can eat a squirrel?
Sunshine "This is what I think of this!"
Sunshine "I'm done, I swear I forget hearing that WAIT request minutes ago"
Rainy "I'm wasting away to nothing...."
Then I tried to take a decent pic of the cats. I locked them out on the porch with me, brought some cat nip and hoped for the best.
Zoom goes Frizzle... The dogs were easier!
Twitchy little Murdoc
We finally settle down for some cat nip
Which apparently was a poorly thought out plan
Catnip makes Murdoc feel braver. In all seriousness that little 9lb Frizzle will kill him in his sleep.
Who me? Plot murder? Never.... Look I'm cute!
Yup he's easily distracted and weak...
I took over 100 cat pics and only have 1 that's halfway usable. I thought the dogs would be the harder ones.
